Caroline joined TRIAL International in September 2023 as Director of Operations. Previously, she worked as Country Director with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Palestine and in Zimbabwe, and as County Manager Uganda/ Regional Head of Programmes for Central, East and Southern Africa for ICCO Cooperation. She has also worked as Senior Protection Officer (PROCAP) with various UN agencies in Iraq, Haiti and Zimbabwe and managed legal aid programmes for NRC in Kosovo and Northern Uganda. At the start of her career, she worked with local human rights organisations in Suriname and Cambodia.
Caroline holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law and Human Rights (University of Leiden, The Netherlands). Her working languages are English, French and Dutch.
