The many challenges of transitional justice

Dear friends,

our first newsletter of 2020 is the bearer of alarming news. Human rights violations continue in Burundi and transitional justice sometimes fails to materialize: Nepal is stuck in a political deadlock and the former president of The Gambia seems to be maneuvering to evade justice.

However, we firmly believe the prosecution of international crimes is primarily a matter of willingness, and that legal avenues exist to punish present and past atrocities. With your continuing support, we can advance this cause and make a difference in the lives of victims. Thank you!

Wishing you a pleasant read,

The TRIAL International team
